a fun afternoon with supporters in Salem

Thanks to my hosts, my old friends, and my new friends in Salem!

We had a good time strategizing and talking about our common goal-- electing someone other than Baron Hill or Mike Sodrel to Indiana's 9th District of the U.S. Congress.

In addition to old Libertarian friends, it was good to see a number of independents-- as well as one of the most prominent Republicans in the District and an elected Democratic official from the District-- all nodding their heads in agreement with the all-too-common failure of the two old parties to ably address the most important issues facing our country.

We'll try to base this election on a discussion of public policy instead of empty posturing and attempts to score cheap political points. I look forward to a campaign season of bringing together dissatisified voters from all over the political spectrum.
